Introduction
Conducting a query is a key component of spatial analysis. A query in a simple sense is a way of finding a needle in a haystack, meaning how are you going to find your way around all the clutter to find the one specific point you are looking for. Queries allow for parameters to be set and if those parameters are not met, then certain results will be filtered out as they do not meet your criteria. Queries can be used for example to locate certain hospital within a certain distance or to filter out hospitals that don't provide certain services. While in theory doing a query is simple the uses of them are extremely important to be successful in spatial analysis.
Methods
For the purpose of this lab I was able to utilize the assigned ESRI tutorial. Throughout the tutorial I was able to test my knowledge on the new content that I learned and then I was able to further apply it by doing the assigned exercise in the tutorial itself. At the conclusion of this ESRI tutorial I was successfully able to gain a certificate of completion showcasing my understanding of using query's for spatial analysis.
Discussion and Deliverables
Conducting a query or multiple queries for that matter is a great way of sorting data so that you are able to filter out any information that is not important to you. As you look through these figures you will be able to see this concept more clearly as the number of points displayed become less and less as we conduct multiple queries.

Figure 1: As you can see we can sort out the information in a table so that it is more organized and ready for when we conduct out query. It is also here where we create our data join so that we are able to conduct our query later on.

Figure 2: We are able to create a query statement which is what is essence tell the program what information to display to us and what information to hide.

Figure 3: Using numeric values you are able to filter hospitals as well by the number of flu cases they have.
I want to also point out how the number of dots/datapoints that we have is significantly smaller then the amount we started with as use the query statements to get more and more precise.
