About me
Starting my college journey was no easy task. Before starting my freshman year at Purdue University, I had to switch my major from professional flight to unmanned aerial systems due to circumstances out of my control and this was before even stepping on campus. Looking back at this, however, I believe this is truly a gift as the opportunities UAS presents seem to be expanding rapidly with each passing day. Having no background in unmanned aerial systems I have gained much knowledge through my UAS classes every semester. I have taken classes ranging from basic operations of UAS to learning about flight maneuvering and technical problems to now learning about supplemental technology such as camera sensors used and how we can further integrate these technologies to aid in a variety of operations.
At the end of my Freshman year, I decided I wanted to further my aviation knowledge and decided to pick up a double major in airport management which I eventually decided to switch to Aviation management to cover both managing airlines and airports to give me a more well-rounded idea of operations in the aviation industry. With both majors, I will be gaining two Bachelor of Science degrees upon graduating and have been thing about continuing my education by going to get an MBA after my undergraduate education. With so much opportunity within the aviation industry, I cannot wait to see what the future holds.
